A survey released on September 21 revealed that more than one in every four female students at the University of Wisconsin (UW) in Madison had been sexually assaulted, an article from Channel 3000 reported.
According to the survey conducted by the Association of American Universities, of all the sexual assault incidents that took place at the university, at least 26.1 percent of the victims had notified authorities. The survey that was conducted last April and May revealed that alcohol was present in a large number of reported incidents. Reports also revealed that the sexual assault incident rate at UW is higher compared to other universities nationwide.
