Woman still in hospital after Kenosha dog attack

Posted under Personal Injury

One of the two women recently attacked by a bulldog in Kenosha County that escaped from an open gate is still at the hospital, an article from Kenosha News reported on August 21.

The 52-year-old woman, whose name was not released, underwent an operation after she was bitten by a bulldog on August 19. Aside from the bite she sustained on her upper leg, she also suffered injuries from an accident committed by a responding officer. One of the bullets fired by the officer came out from the dog’s body and struck the woman’s foot. The woman also was struck by a taser fired by the police before shooting the dog. The two other dog attack victims, a 30-year-old woman and the police officer also received treatments. Kenosha authorities stated that dog owner Shawn Lievense may face several citations after the incident.
