After issuing a massive recall last month, General Motors (GM) announced on March 17 that it is also recalling 1.18 million older SUV models due to a possible problem with their airbags and seat belts.
The airbags and seat belts in the affected SUVs may malfunction if drivers fail to notice the airbag warning signal on the dashboard. Models that were affected by the recall are the Chevrolet Traverse, Buick Enclave, Saturn Outlook, and GMC Acadia. Safety regulators reported at least seven injuries linked to the airbag malfunction.
