Oshkosh woman struck by car in crosswalk

A University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh student was struck by a car in Neenah on Wednesday morning.

The 22-year-old was walking in a crosswalk while heading west at the intersection of Irving Avenue and Jackson Street. A 38-year-old woman was driving in the same direction on Irving when she started to turn left onto Jackson. The woman's vehicle struck the student, resulting in injuries to the student's arms and legs. 

The victim was taken to Theda Clark Medical Center following the incident to be treated for her injuries. According to police, the driver who hit the student has been charged with failure to yield the right of way to a passenger.
