Today, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Graco announced the recall of 2 million Graco-brand strollers after reports of 4 deaths related to the strollers and 5 injuries. The defective strollers are called Graco Quattro Tour stroller and travel systems produced before November 2006 and the MetroLite stroller and travel systems produced before July 2007. Labels with the model number can be found underneath the stroller or just above the rear wheels.
The deaths and injuries occurred when infants' heads and necks became caught underneath the stroller tray in the opening above the seat. The strollers were distributed from 2000 to 2007 and officials urge anyone who still has the product to stop using it immediately.
