Two people were injured in a car crash in the southbound lanes of U.S. 41 Monday morning.
According to officials with the Appleton Police Department, the crash occurred shortly after 6:30 a.m.m when a 38 year-old woman was traveling north on U.S. 41 just south of Scheuring Road, in the town of Lawrence, lost control of her vehicle. The woman's vehicle hydroplaned on the slick pavement, and crossed the median where it was struck by a southbound vehicle, according to the Hobart/Lawrence Police Department.
The 38 year-old woman and the driver of the second vehicle, a 22 year-old man from Green Bay, were transported by ambulance to an area hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries. The woman was cited for driving too fast for conditions, police say.
