A recently introduced controller to the Nintendo Wii video gamed “Guitar Hero” was recently recalled. The model, known as “Rage Wireless Guitars” reportedly has a defective circuit board that can lead to battery leaks. 57,000 of the controllers were shipped between June and September 2008, and the defect was only recently detected. So far there has only been one reported incident of a consumer suffering a chemical burn from this product. It appears that battery leakage will only occur if the batteries are installed incorrectly. However, chemical burns can be dangerous injuries, and consumers are encouraged to return the product to be on the safe side.
