W. Virginia Man Dead After Fall at Construction Site

WINFIELD, W. Va – A man was killed after falling while doing construction at the John Amos Power Plant in Putnam County.  The victim worked as a pipefitter and was employed as a contractor through Shaw Construction.

OSHA, the Occupations Safety and Health Administration, was on the scene early today and has begun an investigation into the incident.  At this point the incident is being considered an accident.  Currently 3,000 employees from Shaw Construction are currently working at the John Amos Power Plant.
