Minnesota – Four nursing home aides who were for their abusive conduct towards residents may be facing criminal charges. The victims were 15 demented residents who had their breasts and genitals hit, fingers stuck in their mouths and noses, and were taunted by the four young women.
The allegations arose after another aide who was fired for using profanity in front of the residents blew the whistle on the group. Of the four women, one is an adult and the other three a juveniles.
The investigation launched by state officials concluded that the aides were doing it “to make work fun” and saw their activities as amusing.
The nursing home is not being held at fault because it followed the proper procedures when it was alerted of the activity.
