Woman dies after falling from second-story balcony

A woman died after falling from the second story of a home last week. According to police reports, the balcony from where the woman fell did not have a balcony. 

Investigators have not yet determined whether the fall was an accident. However, investigators have not found evidence that the woman was pushed.

Semi Crash Kills Elderly Couple

A crash involving a semi truck and a car occurred Tuesday afternoon in Shawano County. Just before 4pm, the car was crossing State 29 and was struck by an oncoming semi.

An elderly couple occupied the car at the time of the crash. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was uninjured. Police are still investigating the crash.

ATV Crash Kills Teen

Over the weekend, an ATV crash occurred in the Town of Lakewood. The 18 year old rider went off Peek Road and struck a tree around 8pm on Saturday night.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene when authorities showed up. The Oconto County Sheriff's Department is currently investigating the crash. There was no other information available.

Crash Kills Motorcyclist

On Saturday night, a crash occurred involving a motorcycle and a car. The crash occurred at the intersection of Outagamie County S and North Water St around 9:15pm.

The motorcycle rider was air lifted to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah where he died  Sunday afternoon. The driver of the car suffered only minor injuries and her passenger was uninjured.

Man Killed by Tractor

In the Town of Sheldon, Monroe County, a man was killed in a tractor incident. The man became trapped between a tractor and a piece of farming equipment that was being set up at the time.

A woman was driving the tractor at the time and backed over the man, killing him. The Monroe County Sheriff's Department has not released any other information about the incident.

Man Charged With Fatal Boating Crash

A 22-year-old man, Patrick Cumbie Jr, was indicted on 1 count of homicide and 4 counts of assault after driving his boat under the influence and severely injuring 5 people.One of the injured persons, Donnie Tatum, 62, was killed. The  homicide and assault counts are related to vessel charges, as Cumbie was operating a speedboat that hit a neighboring pontoon boat on the lake. Some of the people who became injured were swimming in the lake at the time of the crash. At the time, Cumbie was cited for driving his boat under the influence. Family of Immigration Detainee Sues For Wrongful Death

LANCASTER, Cali - Several government agencies are facing a wrongful-death suit from the family of a man who died from an accidental electrocution while in custody at a Lancaster immigrant detention center. The 36-year-old man died died when he accidentally jackhammered into an underground power line while on a work detail, according to the family's attorney.  A resident of Pomona, he has been held at the Mira Loma Detention Center for 10 months when the accident took place. The victim was a construction worker with a wife and two sons at the time of the incident in December 2007.  After jackhammering into the underground high-voltage line, the man was electrocuted as flames exploded around him, according to the suit. Two other injured detainees were also names as plaintiffs.
