Posted under Wrongful Death

Charges are expected to be filed against a vehicle driver who got involved in a recent bicycle accident in Muskego that resulted in the deaths of two people, the Journal Sentinel reported on June 7.

According to reports, the vehicle driver, only identified as a 20-year-old male from South Milwaukee, was arrested on June 6 after he hit two bicyclists just after 6:30 a.m. on Highway 36. The fatalities were identified as Anthony Oliver, 54, and Paul Brown, 45. Deputy Director of a bicycling advocacy group Dave Schlabowske stated that the part of the road where the fatal accident happened is generally considered to be safe for bike enthusiasts.

Oliver and Brown were both wearing helmets when the crash occurred, and authorities told reporters from WDJT-TV that the cyclists were on the right side of the road at the time. Waukesha prosecutors are waiting for the investigation report, as further details of the accident were not released.
