Three hurt in Racine garbage truck accident

Posted under Truck Accidents

On April 23, three people suffered injuries and an apartment was damaged when a Racine garbage truck crashed first into a car and then into a building, a Fox 6 article stated.

At around 7:00 a.m. a westbound garbage truck on 16th Street reportedly crashed into a car near Flett Avenue. Immediately after the traffic collision, the truck driver quickly veered to avoid a tree, instead crashing into an apartment building. According to responding police, the two occupants of the car and the truck driver, whose names were all withheld, were brought to the hospital. Police also confirmed that no one died in the collision. Crews spent hours on the crash scene to remove all the garbage that spilled from the truck.
