Boy injured by suspected intoxicated driver in Grafton

Posted under Car Accidents

A boy recently suffered injuries after he was struck by a vehicle operated by a suspected drunk driver on St. Patrick’s Day in Grafton, wisn.com reported.

According to reports, the 13-year-old boy was riding his bicycle on 8th Street and North Street when he was struck by a vehicle. Police later identified the vehicle driver as John Raymond, 44. Raymond reportedly has two previous OWI violations. He was taken into custody after the incident, and if he is found to have been intoxicated, charges may be enhanced because he was driving with a child in the vehicle. Authorities told reporters that the boy is expected to recover from his injuries.

Bicycle riders, especially children, are at a increased risk of suffering serious injuries after being involved in car accidents.
