The driver of the school bus involved in a recent fatal accident on a highway near Pulaski is on leave pending an investigation, an article of Fox 11 reported on September 5.

Spokeswoman of Pulaski School District stated that the 74-year-old bus driver is on leave in light of his involvement in a recent accident. The incident reportedly happened on Highway 29 when the school bus occupied by a volleyball team, coaches, and 22 other high school students was struck by a car. Car passenger identified as Shannon Hall died in the crash, while the vehicle’s driver, who was not named, was taken to the hospital for his injuries. At least 14 occupants on the bus were also injured in the crash. Authorities believe that the school bus driver failed to yield when the crash occurred.
