Children’s beds recalled due to inherent hazard

Posted under Product Liability

Consumers are advised to stop using certain children beds manufactured by Lea Industries due to a fall hazard that the beds pose.

According to the product recall, there have already been 22 incidents of injury involving the recalled beds. One of the incidents involved a 6-year-old girl from Madison, Wisconsin who sustained head injuries and a face laceration after the mattress and bed supports collapsed while her older sister was placing fitted sheets on the bed.

The beds, which can be bought at Direct Buy, furniture stores nationwide, and on various websites, were manufactured in China and Vietnam, and were imported by Lea Industries in High Point, N.C.

If you or your child has been injured by the recalled beds manufactured by Lea Industries or other defective products, a lawyer from Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ®, may be able to help you seek restitution. Find out how you may be able to get compensation by calling 800-242-2874 today.
