On Wednesday, January 16, in Kenosha County, one person died while two others were injured in a fatal accident involving three vehicles, the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office reported.

David Westover, the driver of a white Hyundai Elantra, was fatally injured after he rear-ended an eastbound black Ford Eagle that had turned left at 12900 Burlington Road. The Hyundai was then struck by a Cherokee Jeep in the driver’s side after it slid sideways into the westbound lane. The two other drivers were rushed to St. Catherine’s Hospital for minor injuries. An uninjured 14-year-old and an 11-year-old passenger of the Ford were also brought in the hospital for safety measures.

Following the accident, Highway 142 was closed for several hours.
