A large snowstorm moved through the state of Wisconsin on Friday, causing schools to shut their doors, and several cars to collide on roadways.
Officials at Wisconsin Emergency Management urged Wisconsin drivers to only hit the roads if absolutely necessary, and to make sure they are prepared. Drivers should carry emergency supplies in their cars at all times, making sure they also have a charger for their cellphone, so that they are not stranded.
A travel warning was issued for Southern Wisconsin due to the snowstorm, and expired at 9 p.m. on Friday night. The snow fall in different areas of the state ranged between five to eight inches, and caused numerous traffic accidents.
