Posted under Uncategorized

Police have identified a Menasha motorcyclist who was killed in an Appleton car accident Tuesday night.

According to officials with the Outagamie County Sheriff's Department, 30 year-old Willie Robinson was driving the lead motorcycle of two that were struck by a van on State Road 15 late Tuesday. Police say the two motorcycles pulled out from Lilly of the Valley Drive onto State 15 shortly after 11:00 p.m. when the accident occurred.

Robinson was treated at the scene of the crash by the crew of ThedaStar helicopter, but was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the van, 39 year-old Bear Creek resident Saul Munguia, was jailed on a charge of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle, according to the police report.

The sheriff's department said witnesses told deputies the van may have been speeding before the crash.

Outagamie County Coroner Ruth Wulgaert said an autopsy would be performed on Robinson.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victim's family and friends.
