Johnsonville Plant Accident Crushes Man's Foot

A Cascade man was injured Monday afternoon while working at the Johnsonville Sausage plant in Sheboygan Falls. The accident occurred around 3pm involving a pallet loader.

The man's foot was caught under the machine and was severely crushed. He was taken to Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center for treatment. No one else was injured in the accident.

Woman Arrested after Crash Injures Children

On Thursday afternoon, a crash occurred caused by a woman driving while under the influence. At 12:13pm, the woman struck a utlity pole along Franklin St in Waupun.

The woman's 10 year old boy and 9 year old girl were both injured in the crash. They were taken to Waupun Memorial Hospital for treatment. The woman has been arrested and charged with felony OWI.

Macy's Sweaters Recalled

Macy's has recalled approximately 33,000 children's sweaters because of choking hazards. The sweaters have strings sewn into the base of the neck that can get caught and choke the wearer.

Because of this, Macy's is asking consumers to remove the strings or return the sweaters. Epic Threads and Greendog sweaters in small and medium sizes are affected by the recall.

Crash Kills Motorcyclist

On Saturday night, a crash occurred involving a motorcycle and a car. The crash occurred at the intersection of Outagamie County S and North Water St around 9:15pm.

The motorcycle rider was air lifted to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah where he died  Sunday afternoon. The driver of the car suffered only minor injuries and her passenger was uninjured.

Toddler Injured in Fall

On Monday, a toddler was injured after falling from a third story window in Algoma. The 3 year old girl was watching television with her mother and siblings just before the incident. She then climbed onto the window sill to see outside.

The girl pushed the screen out and fell about 20 to 25 feet. She was taken to St Vincent's Hospital for treatment of head and leg injuries. Her condition was not released.

Motorcycle Rider Injured after High Speed Chase

On Sunday night, a police officer tried to pull over a motorcycle around 11:30pm. The motorcycle sped off, reaching speeds near 100mph in the ensuing chase. However, police stopped their pursuit near Oshkosh St and Beckert Rd.

The man was found later at Beckert Rd and Pershing St having crashed his motorcycle. He was taken to Theda Clark Medical Center for treatment. His identity has not been released. Fortunately, no one else was injured.

6 Teens Injured in Crash

A crash occurred Monday afternoon in the Town of Lyndon involving six teens in two cars. Around 3:30pm, a car pulled away from a stop sign into another vehicle, causing the crash.

Six teens were injured in the crash: four from the car at the stop sign and another two in the other car. Of those, three were hospitalized and the other three suffered minor injuries.
