Tragic Accident Leads Man’s Death

This week a man was shot in a hunting accident in Juneau country. As many people know, this is the second hunting accident that has occurred in this year’s 2008 deer hunting season.  This accident was caused by the man’s own gun.  The police say that the man was killed from a shot to his chest from the gun.

Scott Radtke was found on his father’s property, and had been dead for several hours. This occurred near Highway 82, went of German town.  His father reported that his son had been missing for several hours after he was supposed to return home.

The investigation will be continued by the Department of Natural Resources (DNR).

Family of Crash Victim Sues Other Driver

JANESVILLE - The family of a Janesville woman killed in a 2007 car crash is suing the driver of the other vehicle.  The 49-year-old woman was killed on Sept. 12 2007 as she pulled out into traffic and collided with a car driven by Darren Miller, while taking her daughter to school.The lawsuit claims that the defendant was driving recklessly at high speeds and weaving in and out of traffic before the impact.  He failed to see victim's vehicle and failed to control his speed.Miller was driving without insurance, according to the suit.The family is seeking compensation for loss of income, society, companionship, medical and funeral expesnes, and wages.  The lawsuit is also seeking punitive damages. One witness told police that Miller appeared to be racing with another car.  Miller was ticketed by Janesville police for speeding and reckless driving, and was fined $598 after pleading no contest to both citations. If you or someone you know has suffered injury, illness, or death as a result of someone's reckless driving, you have the right to seek damages for the losses you have incurred.  Contact the Appleton car accident lawyers of Habush, Habush, & Rottier at 800.472.9334 to speak with a qualified attorney today.
