CRAWFORDSVILLE, Indian. – A man was killed early Sunday after he became trapped under a heavy piece of farm machinery, police said.
The rural man was 68 years old. The cause of death for the victim was listed as “accidental positional asphyxiation” by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Officer, according to a news release from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of a subject pinned under farm equipment. They arrived at the scene and were met by the victim’s wife, who informed them that her husband was pinned under a gravity wagon full of corn. The man was found motionless under the wagon.
