Medical Malpractice Suit Seeks $5 Million in Damages

by Administrator 13. February 2008 05:02
Tricia Dold, 37, underwent surgery at Toledo Hospital to fix a degenerated disk in her neck on January 16, 2007. Now, more than a year later, Mrs. Dold is still suffering from shakiness, numbness, pain, and memory lapses that her lawsuit claims were related to the misconduct of surgeon Dr. Joseph Yazdi, who admitted dropping a surgical instrument on Dold's open spinal cord for a "nanosecond." The lawsuit also names Toledo Hospital as a defendant, claiming it failed to warn Mrs. Dold and her family about accusations that Dr. Yazdi had anger management issues and was fighting to stop the hospital from suspending his clinical privileges at the time of the surgery. Mrs. Dold is seeking $5 million in damages. When a doctor betrays the trust of a patient by failing to adhere to standards of reasonable and responsible conduct, the effects are devastating. If you have been wronged by a careless or negligent doctor, an Appleton personal injury lawyer can help you file a medical malpractice suit to recover damages. Police Sergeant Rear-Ended by Semi

by Administrator 4. February 2008 11:02
Police Sergeant Brian Pulvermacher was helping personnel from Blystone's Towing to remove a pickup truck from a ditch along Interstate 90/94 when his car was rear-ended by a semi whose driver had likely fallen asleep. Pulvermacher, who was providing emergency lighting to the towing company's personnel, was in the car with his K-9 partner Lee.  He suffered only minor injuries and was treated and released, though a re-evaluation is scheduled for next week. The driver of the semi was Rick Bowron, working for Eagle Transport Services. No final decision on filing charges has been made, although the Wisconsin State Patrol is considering several possible violations. Has the negligence of another person resulted in you being injured? Do you want to claim the compensation that is rightfully yours? If so, call an Appleton personal injury lawyer from Habush Habush & Rottier at 800-472-9334 right away.
